Old Santa at the Summit Gallery 


  This Old Santa is on display at the Summit Gallery for the next 3 months.  He was loaded with hand made toys, books and wrapped gifts.  His coat was made from a 120 year old quilt.  There were 7 layers of fabric.  It had to be that old otherwise I could have never made a coat for Santa.  He is 22 inches tall with a wood and wire armature.

His hood is trimmed in vintage mercury glass beads and he carries a strand, on the original cord, over his right arm.  He has an antique german candle clip on his sleeve.

This Santa is not for sale.

    Now this Santa has a very unique coat. I also think his little oil lamp is so sweet.

    Hi Donna. His lamp is actually an antique candle clip from Germany. It still has candle residue in it. Thanks for the comment. Dolores Koper
